New York City Mayor Eric Adams drops out of the mayor’s race after coming in fourth in the latest polls. Adams, the dropout, just gave the key to Grace’s Mansion to Pinko mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani.
With Adams out of the race, the only other two challengers to the Z are professional candidate Andrew Cuomo and the right-wing Curtis Sliwa, representing a diverse range of political ideologies.
On August 23, 2021, former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo was forced from office to make way for his second-in-command, Kathy Hochul. During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, the government accused Cuomo of killing about 15,000 nursing home residents. While governor, Cuomo was negligent in his handling of the deadly emergency; his lieutenant governor was just as careless.
Former Governor Andrew Cuomo and his Lieutenant Governor Kathy Hochul still have blood on their hands. They’re both responsible for thousands of nursing home deaths resulting from COVID-19. However, they forced Cuomo out and gave the job to Hochul.
They decided it was time for New York State to have a female governor. Now, they have decided that it’s time for New York City to have a communist-adjacent mayor.
Eric Adams, the second Black mayor of New York, follows in the footsteps of David Dinkins, the first Black mayor. Dinkins, who served a single term, was a key figure in the city’s history, particularly during the Crown Heights riot in August 1991. They told Dinkins to get his Black ass outta town.
His tenure and the circumstances of his departure are essential chapters in the story of New York City’s mayors.
Zohran Mamdani, with his immigrant background, joins Fiorello La Guardia, who was the only immigrant to serve as mayor of New York City. While La Guardia was born in New York to immigrant parents, Mamdani’s roots in Uganda, Africa, and his Indian heritage bring a unique and diverse perspective to the mayoral role.
