For even the most well-traveled people on this planet, there’s one destination that many have yet to step foot on — Antarctica. It’s not an easy journey. It takes lots of time and planning — and often lots of money as well.
But for two lucky travelers, none of those factors will be an issue as Intrepid Travel hosts its latest sweepstakes, with a grand prize of a once-in-a-lifetime trip for two to Antarctica.
The giveaway is in celebration of the company’s new polar expedition ship Ocean Endeavor. The winner and their guest will get to embark on Intrepid’s 11-day “Best of Antarctica” cruise, traveling to the frozen continent from Ushuaia, Argentina. The itinerary includes traveling through the Drake Passage, visiting Deception island, and exploring ice-filled bays and channels on Zodiac excursions and by foot. Travelers will also have the opportunity to take a photography masterclass, participate in Citizen Science programs, go snowshoeing, and spot tons of wildlife like humpback, minke whales, leopard seals, and penguins, of course.
Onboard the ship itself; there’s also plenty to keep passengers entertained. Ocean Endeavor features a gym, spa, library, heated saltwater pool, and jacuzzi. Guests can take an onboard yoga class, book a relaxing massage, or meet with one of the expert guides to learn about marine biology, glaciology, and Antarctic history.
For your chance to win this Antarctic adventure, you must be at least 18 years old and a legal resident of the U.S. (restrictions apply in certain states) or Canada. Entries are limited to one per person, per email account.
Entering the contest is as easy as visiting Intrepid Travel’s website and filling out your basic information. Participants can enter the giveaway until 10 a.m. ET on Aug. 23. One randomly selected winner will have until Sept. 30 to book their trip and depart for their adventure by Dec. 29.
