Wham! Take That!

Virginia Prosecutors Charge High School Track Runner with Assault After Baton Attack on Competitor.
In a turn of events that left everyone stunned, Seventeen-year-old Alaila Everett appeared enraged when another runner (sixteen-year-old Kaelen Tucker) passed her on the track.

Everett’s reaction to being outpaced led to a social media backlash, with threats and racial slurs directed at her. This incident has sparked a debate on sportsmanship in the track community.

This biased media coverage is reminiscent of the tactic used in the O.J. Simpson case, where he was portrayed as the archetype of all men who commit spousal homicide. The reality is that men of all races have committed such acts, even before O.J.’s alleged involvement.
And other violent white men have killed their spouses after the O.J. incident. Yet O. J. Simpson’s black face is made the poster child of violence. That is white supremacy at work.

Bad Behavior Buttressed By Her Parents

Alaila Everett’s refusal to acknowledge her actions is concerning. It raises questions about her character and ability to take responsibility for her actions.

Backed up by her parents, Alaila Everett refuses to take responsibility for her dastardly actions. Instead, she blames her victim for the attack. Ms. Everett took the news media to complain, “You’re physically hurt, but you’re not thinking about my mental,” the self-absorbed Alaila Everett said of her victim, Kaelin Tucker.

Wow. Now, that sounds like someone who gets cut off on the highway, gets into a road rage, and then uses her car as a deadly weapon.

Later on, she turns around and blames the person she kills for their death. Such behavior is self-absorbed and unconscionable.

It’s crucial that Alaila Everett faces the consequences of her actions. However, it’s equally important to emphasize that her behavior does not represent Black culture. Let’s not forget that unsportsmanlike behavior transcends race, as demonstrated by the Tonya Harding incident in 1994.

The NAACP has joined the fight on behalf of the road rage Everett.

NAACP is correct to a certain degree about the racist animus because this is not the first time un-sportsmanship behavior shocked the sports world. In 1994, figure skater Tonya Harding paid a man to attack her competitor, Nancy Kerrigan. Kerrigan’s attacker beat her in her knee with a baton. Both Kerrigan and Harding were white. No one hurled racial slurs at Tonya Harding for her dastardly deed.

The standard weight of a relay race baton is about 50g or 1.76oz. There are sixteen ounces in one pound. Kaelen Tucker claims that she suffered a concussion from the whack she received from Alaila Everett. Here comes Morgan and Morgan.

“In January 1994, figure skater Nancy Kerrigan was attacked and injured by a man with a baton, leading to speculation and later confirmation that her rival, Tonya Harding, was involved in the plot, though Harding herself pleaded guilty to conspiring to hinder prosecution.” Wikipedia.
