Hiring 300 to 475 South Koreans to work in a Hyundai Plant is not a bad deal. Former President Joe Biden and Georgia Brian Kemp brokered the deal. Why is it not a dirty deal? They also hired over 8000 Americans to work at the plant. It’s a $12 billion investment. The primary issue is that there are spies among the Korean workers. They have to get weeded out. They must enter the country legally through a port of entry.
ICE Raids Capture Illegal Koreans.
In a monumental display of cooperation, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) orchestrated a sweeping operation of unprecedented scale. A unified front of federal and state agencies executed the immigration raid, marking it as the most extensive in U.S. history. On September 4, 2025, ICE targeted the Hyundai electric vehicle plant in Georgia, resulting in the apprehension of many illegal South Koreans.
The arrests occurred in the wake of a collaboration between Georgia Governor Brian Kemp, the South Korean president, and the Hyundai manufacturing plant. This partnership, which allowed illegal workers to enter the United States and work at the plant, was part of a larger deal brokered by Georgia officials. Hyundai, however, maintains that it did not knowingly hire any undocumented migrants.
A President Joe Biden’s Project.
In May 2022, President Biden visited South Korea to finalize a deal for the Hyundai plant to be built in Georgia.
“It’s great to be here to announce the more than $10 billion in new investment in American manufacturing. This new commitment of $5 billion for advanced automotive technology and $5.5 billion investment to open a new factory near Savannah, Georgia, is going to create more than 8,000 new American jobs,” Biden said.
It is customary for companies to send project ‘experts’ along to assist with the development and establishment of the product. Usually, the ‘experts’ are engineers, master mechanics, and project managers. Those experts enter the country legally on specialised Visas. The ‘experts’ set up office at or near the company and work for a set period of time before returning to their homeland.
For example, Canadian NFI Group Inc. provides the same courtesy ‘expert’ service technicians when American companies purchase their buses. However, the Koreans who got rounded up by ICE in September weren’t experts. They came in the wave of 12 to 15 million invaders through the Southern Border. It would be a safe estimate to suggest that at least 5% to 30% of them are spies for the Korean government.
The Hyundai Metaplant project, the location of the raids, was a significant deal made by President Biden with South Korea in 2022. This deal, along with the subsequent events, has had a profound and far-reaching impact on the political landscape.
President Biden’s deal with South Korea was made with the approval of Gov Brain Kemp. Kemp’s decision to look the other way while Biden allowed an influx of illegal migrants into Georgia has had serious consequences, including the tragic death of Laken Riley.
The killing of 22-year-old Laken Riley, a nursing student, became a big part of the 2024 presidential campaign. It was one event that helped propel Donald Trump to victory over Biden.
