After a Federal jury found Diddy (Sean Combs) guilty of prostitution, a federal judge has denied him bail.
The Federal government leveled serious charges against the Rap Music mogul, Diddy. They accused him of five counts, including racketeering (RICO) and sex trafficking. It was a no-holds-barred approach.
However, they came up short. Of the five counts, the Federal Government proved only two counts. There is no mistaking the fact that Sean Combs is involved in serious allegations, and perhaps a more severe crime, however, they did not charge him with the most serious offenses.
The judge, highly influenced by public opinion, made a significant decision. He sided with the prosecution and denied bail to the defendant. This decision, in the face of the jury’s verdict, carries weight.
It raises questions about the judge’s absence in cases where cops are acquitted for murdering Black people.
