Joe Corolla’s stranglehold of shady politics on the City of Miami Police Department stretches through decades. Had this been any other typical city in America, the voters would send Carolla flying through the doors of City Hall at the tip of a shiny steel-toe boot. But this is Miami, and Carolla delivers for his constituents an unhealthy dose of corruption. They love it.

Any Miami Police Chief who doesn’t fall in line with the vindictive ways of Carolla and at least two other Miami Commissioners (majority rules) is quickly shown the door with a knife in his back. Chief Art Acevado is the latest victim of the City of Miami Commissioners. Today Mayor Saurez put Acevado on notice that he’s out as Chief in Miami.

Rumor was that the City of Miami Police officers are to wear masks when dealing with Black residents

In September, Acevedo alleges in an eight-page letter to the Commissioners that Carolla tried to entice him to use the weight of the police department to attack his (Carolla’s) political enemies. It’s hard for the feds to pin Carolla and most of the Miami Commissioners down. The Miami Commissioners have mastered the art of navigating the channels of corruption. They have double master’s degrees and PhDs on how to avoid the eyes of investigators. They are like drug dealers using Cigarette Boats to run from Coast Guard chasing in a Personal Water Craft vessel. They’re too fast; by the time the Coast Guard catches up to them — they have dumped the contraband.

he Feds would have to go back to school learn how to detect, corral and capture Carolla and his band. How is he living? Is he living large? Does Chief Acevedo’s letter about using the taxpayers’ money (the police force) to target political enemies have any merit?

These aren’t the days of easy targets like Miami Commissioner Miller Dawkins or Dade County School Board member Johnny L. Jones — it was easy to target and capture those guys — and rightfully so. They were corrupted public servants but not schooled in the art of corruption.
In a bid for political survival, mayor Saurez is running for reelection in November, and City Manager Art Noriega made the cowardly decision to show Chief Acevado the door with a knife in his back. Will Acevado bleed out, or will the city end up paying him a large sum of money just to shut him up? Until the federal government steps in, the Miami Commissioners will continue to hold the Miami Police Department in a Vice Grip.

These Five-Star Hotel Are Affordable With Rates As Low As $28 Per night.

Five-star hotels are known for their lavish amenities, grand decor, attentive service, and over-the-top experiences. They’re also known for their hefty price tags. But what if you could have the butler service, complimentary champagne, and other luxuries at a fraction of the price?

That’s what the team at Top Dollar, a financial insights website, sought to find out with its latest study in search of the most affordable five-star hotels around the world. To find these ritzy properties that don’t break the bank, Top Dollar used Hotels.com to search for a one-night stay for two in July 2021 and found the ten cheapest accommodations for each country. Sale prices were not included to keep them from skewing results, and any countries with fewer than five five-star hotels available were removed.

The results show that sitting in the lap of luxury is more accessible than many assume — think $28 per Night in India (the world’s cheapest five-star hotel); $79 per night in Mexico; or $93 for an overnight in Athens, Greece. These prices fluctuate throughout the year, but the overall messaging remains the same: don’t assume the best hotels are outside your budget.

Here are some highlights of Top Dollar’s findings. North America

The cheapest five-star property in North America is the Hotel 1970 Posada Guadalajara in Mexico. This Hilton property starts at $79/Night and recently underwent a $6.5 million renovation in 2018. For travelers looking for some stateside luxury, the most affordable five-star hotel is the ADERO Scottsdale, an Autograph Collection property in Phoenix, Arizona. 

South America: Most countries in South America offer excellent and affordable options for a five-star stay. Among the most affordable visits, the most expensive option is the NH Collection Plaza Santiago in Santiago, Chile. The property will set you back $125 per night, which is still a great deal compared to most luxury hotels. Meanwhile, the least expensive properties in Argentina, Brazil, and Ecuador go $71, $73, and $82, respectively. The cheapest of all the five-star properties can be found in Bogota, Colombia, where a night at the NH Collection Bogotá WTC Royal costs $42.

Europe: The options in Europe may come as a surprise to some, with Top Dollar identifying at least 16 five-star hotels that cost under $100 per night. Most of them are in Eastern or Central Europe, with the cheapest being Kupava Deluxe Hotel in Lviv, Ukraine, at $43 per night. Oddfellows on the Park in Cheadle, Manchester, is the most affordable option for those interested in the UK, with prices starting at $118 for a night in the Victorian mansion.   

The Middle East & Central Asia: In this part of the world, all but two reasonably priced five-star hotels cost under $100 per night. Turkey is home to the least expensive option, with Ankara’s Hotel Ickle is setting travelers back only $32 per night. Other notable properties include Avani Deira Dubai Hotel, which costs $54 per night, and the Crowne Plaza Doha in Qatar for $78 per night.

Rest of Asia and Oceania:  The cheapest five-star hotel in the world in India, with the Novotel Ahmedabad Hotel costing only $28 per night. But it’s not the only impressive option in the region. This part of the world is home to several five-star properties asking for less than $50 for a one-night stay. In Indonesia, the Royal Surakarta Heritage Solo MGallery Collection goes for $30 per night, while Thailand’s cheapest five-star property costs $32 for a night.  

Africa: Africa’s most affordable five-star hotel is in Luxor, Egypt, one of its most popular tourist destinations. There, travelers can check into the Steigenberger Resort Achti Luxor for $40 per night and spend their days admiring views of the east bank of the Nile River. McCarthyism: How did McCarthyism affect America for years to come?

During the Red Scare (1940s — 1950s) was the last time wholesale political sniping gripped Americans with unjustified fear of their neighbor, friends and family and each other. At first old people were to fear young people, then young people should fear the elderly — now everybody is to fear everybody. Of course, not that the SARS-COVID-19 (2) virus doesn’t exist. It is real; it has killed over 4.2 million people worldwide and 700,000 Americans and counting. Why is China still developing airborne biological weapons with the help of some American medical professionals using taxpayers’ money? And then they the Chinese may turn around and use that biological weapon to kill Americans?

McCarthyism created a culture of uniformity and paranoia that feared anything slightly different and feared anyone whose thoughts ran contrary to his dictates. When McCarthyism was in full swing, most Americans fell in line with the dictates of the demented senator. Those with a sense of right and wrong who dared to question McCarthy and his followers were black-balled, white-listed, chastised, disenfranchised, informed upon by their family, friends, and co-workers. McCarthyism denied those with a unique set of principles the right to make a living, feed their families, and their “leaders” put those who dissented in jail.

A Topsy Turvy systematic approach of government: simply put, the head is now where the ass used to be, and the ass is now the head. The current majority two-party system enfolds — each on its platform — what the United States is: A nation rooted in an agreed principle of equal duality that symbolizes the former Republican party representing the Republic and the quickly devolving Democratic party that once suggests democracy. The Republic and Democratic entities are being trodden out of existence — quickly. They coaxed a tired, manipulated head into believing that the sum is greater than the parts. What a Disaster?

The strong arm governor of New York (that no one voted to become governor), Kathy Hochul, told a pool of pacified and adoring reporters that declaring a mandate for New Yorkers to take a vaccine against their conscience worked. Yes, it does. If a mugger puts a gun to grandmas head and tells her he will murder her if she doesn’t give up the purse, then grandma unwillingly gives the mugger her purse — it works, under duress, threats and coercion. Suddenly, in America, Healthcare professionals (Doctors and Nurses) who refused to tote the party line have become pariahs. Hochul and others on the take have made yesterday’s heros today’s villains.

According to the CDC website over 44.5 million Americans have contacted the SARS-CoV-2 virus. This data is rolling and the “static” number points to over 135 million Americans infected with COVID virus. CDC says of 330 million Americans, “as of September 30, 2021, 392.9 million vaccine doses have been administered. Overall, about 214.3 million people, or 64.6% of the total U.S. population, have received at least one dose of vaccine. About 184.6 million people, or 55.6% of the total U.S. population, have been fully vaccinated.” 

If the vaccines do work, here’s why the “vaccinated” shouldn’t fear the “unvaccinated?” According to THE Science, most unvaccinated people already have COVID, which means they have natural immunity. Those with COVID developed antigens/antibodies that protect them from COVID and shedding the virus after two weeks.

Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor denied on Friday a request filed by a group of New York teachers to block a COVID vaccine mandate for school instructors.

New York City began on Friday enforcing vaccinations against COVID among school staff. Announced in August, the order prompted some teachers to respond to the deadline to avoid suspension or possibly losing their jobs.

Sotomayor didn’t provide any explanation for rejecting the emergency injunction filed by the teachers and didn’t have a full-court vote on the matter, according to ABC7 New York. She has the discretion to handle the application alone as she is the justice administering the Second Circuit.

Teachers Rachel Maniscalco, Evelyn Arancio, Diana Salomon, and Corinne Lynch petitioned the Supreme Court on Thursday about the emergency injunction, claiming that the mandate violates their rights. NEWSWEEK NEWSLETTER SIGN-UP

“If permitted to take effect, the August 23 Order will force thousands of unvaccinated public-school employees to lose their jobs while other municipal employees, including those who have significant contact with children, may opt-out of the vaccine mandate through weekly COVID-19 testing,” the teachers said in their petition. “As the number of unvaccinated is small compared to that of the vaccinated, there is no basis to mandate vaccines instead of weekly testing.”

In response to Sotomayor’s rejection of the request, the public school teachers’ attorneys, Mark Fonte and Louis Gelormino expressed their disappointment in the SCOTUS decision and said that the government “has gone too far” in reference to the COVID vaccine mandates.

“The voices of our teachers deserved to be heard. Vaccine mandates for adults has not been argued before the Court in over a century. These unconstitutional edicts will continue throughout the nation until our Courts decide to hear our argument that the Government has gone too far,” they said in a statement.NEWSWEEK SUBSCRIPTION OFFERS >

Fonte and Gelormino added that the public schools’ loss of staff due to suspension or potential termination over the vaccine mandate will impact students.

“The teachers that our kids are so fond of will no longer be in the classroom. The safety of our children will be compromised with the absence of school safety officers,” they said.

On Monday, the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Manhattan reversed a temporary injunction meant to prevent the mandate from being enforced.

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio said that as of Friday, 90 percent of Department of Education employees, 93 percent of teachers, and 98 percent of principals are vaccinated and have had at least one dose of the vaccine.

“The bottom line is this mandate has worked and the goal was to protect kids, including our youngest kids who can’t be vaccinated yet, and to ensure that families knew schools would be safe,” the mayor said Friday on MSNBC‘s Morning, Joe.

Teachers’ unions have previously argued that the mandate will cause massive teachers’ shortages in schools, but de Blasio insisted that the city has many vaccinated substitute teachers that could fill in.

“We have a lot of substitute teachers, a lot of young people in particular who want to go into the teaching profession, who are ready, willing and able, who are vaccinated, who are going to take those roles immediately,” de Blasio told CNN on Wednesday.

Miami City Commissioner Joe Carollo, a.k.a. Joker Roller, the Joker — as FM radio station Power 96 used to call him. Where is the Joker? Well, the Joker is back, and he’s up to his same old antics of trying to run the City of Miami Police Department from his seat on the City of Miami Commission. Commissioner Carollo, a former Metro-Dade police officer, has long been a figure of controversy and stalwart of division and hate.

When Joe Carollo joined Dade County’s Metro Police Department, he was the youngest cop on its payroll. And the vital qualification then was the applicant had to know how to fight and possess a deep-seated hatred for Black people and a willingness to murder Black people in cold blood, in the dark and dump their bodies in lakes and bushes, or kill them in broad daylight where petrified witnesses looked on in horror. Insurance sales agent Arthur Mc Duffie a former Marine Corps lance corporal was one of those victims. After leaving the Marine Corps, Mc Duffie worked as an insurance sales agent for Coastal States Life Insurance company.

Miami was ancient dirty south, crude and vicious, where red necks roamed the streets in pickup trucks displaying gun racks, large nail-spiked wooden clubs, and bumper stickers that read, ” Will the last American to leave Miami, please bring the Flag?” The Miami and Metro Dade Police Departments specifically hired those goons to terrorized residents in the Black communities.

Mc Duffie Months Before He Was Murdered By Police

In Dade County and particularly in Miami, the mid-seventies and eighties was a time of the changing of the guards. A clash of cultures — and when the children of the former slaveholders fled Miami, they may have taken the flag but left the key to the City of Miami with a Cuban immigrant population and the blueprint of how to maim and kill Black people, and destroy Black Lives wantonly.

Today Joe Carollo is that lynchpin between the days of old and the face that represents the continued lunacy of the City of Miami and its police department. The days when the cocaine cowboys such as Alex Marrero wore City of Miami police badges and uniforms, robbed and executed anyone that crossed their paths or looked at them sideways.

Joker Roller sat on the Miami Commission when it was fashionable for Miami police officers to go around murdering young Black men — with the blessings of the Miami Commissioners and all-white juries. On December 17, 1979, six to eight Miami-Dade white police officers beat Arthur McDuffie to death after pulling him over for speeding and driving his motorcycle with a suspended license. “Officers” Charles Veverka, Sgt. Herbert Evans, Sgt. Ira Diggs, William Hanlon, Eric Seymen, Ubaldo Del Toro, Alex Marrero used their Kel-lite flashlights and nightsticks to beat McDuffie in his face and head. The Medical Examiner wrote, “McDuffie’s skull was cracked like an egg –” by the police.

Chief of Police Art Acevedo under fire for calling out Commissioner Joe Carollo’s Banana Republic approach to governing.

In April 2021, in steps Art Acevedo as Miami’s new Chief of Police. Miami City Manager Arthur Noriega chose Acevedo, a former Chief of Police for Houston PD, to reform the Department and root out the culture of corruption that pervades the Miami Police Department. Soon after Acevedo took the oath as Chief, Commissioner Joe Carollo gave him a list of political enemies he wanted to be under surveillance or investigated. Carollo also used the Miami Code Enforcement Department officers to harass his political opponents, including business man Bill Fuller’s businesses. 

After months of harassment by code enforcement officers, Miami Code Enforcement Department eventually shut down one of Bill Fuller’s business, a popular club on Cale Ocho (Eighth Street) named the Ball & Chain. While Carollo controls Miami Code Enforcement Department, it became a challenge for Carollo, Reyes and Del la Portilla to run Miami PD through Chief Acevedo. So a plot was hatched by the Three Amigos on the Commission spear-headed by Carollo to get rid of Chief Acevedo. 

But first, Chief Acevedo had already drawn the wrath of the Commission when he ended two high-ranking Miami police officers careers for a “minor” cover-up. The two Carollo loyalists, Deputy Chief Ronald Papier and his wife Commander Nerly Papier crashed her city issued vehicle while allegedly driving under the influence of a narcotic. Deputy Chief Ronald assisted his wife Nerly, for good or ill, (as any good husband would do) to correct the incident under cover, which was later discovered and made public. 

 Miami’s PD first female Deputy Chief Heather Morris, worked with Chief Acevedo at Houston’s PD as Asst Chief.

After removing the power couple (Papiers) from duty, Chief Acevedo hired Heather Morris to fill Ronald Papier’s Deputy Chief position. Morris and Acevedo worked at Houston Police Department as Assistant Chief and Chief of Police, respectively.. 

According to an eight-page memo presented by Acevedo to the Miami Commission, on September 24, “Carollo is targeting me, in part, for my refusal to allow him to use the MPD as his personal enforcer against anyone he perceives as offensive,” the Chief alleges. Acevedo’s conflict with the Commission became pronounced after he removed the two high ranking (Carollo loyalists) Miami Police officers for taking part in the minor coverup. 

To retaliate against Acevedo for firing Ron and Nerly Papier, the Commission eliminated the Deputy Chief position from the 2021 — 2022 fiscal year budget — thus potentially leaving the first female Miami Deputy Chief without a job.

Old School ex cop Joe Carollo just wasn’t able to sway New School cop Art Acevedo to join him on his relentless trip of police brutality in minority communities. “I have uncovered a pattern of unlawful use of force by some officers … I have began the process to address this issue,” Acevedo added to his 8-page memo. With responsible policing, perhaps a new day will dawn when a Medical Examiner’s report won’t state:

 Medical Examiner Dr. Ronald Wright’s report states that McDuffie’s head had a 10 inch hole in it. The so-called officers used a squad car to run over McDuffie’s motor bike to make it look like he had an accident. Several cops on the scene testified to the fabrication of evidence, yet when they went to trial, an all male all-white jury set them free. This is the Joker Roller mindset — one that leads to murder by police and high-ranking police officers are to help cover up the crimes.

Anyone who does not fall into his web mafia-like runnings falls victim to his wrath. Carollo was one of three Hispanic Miami Commissioners to fire Donald Warsaw and a former white Miami Police Chief turned city manager. He musters three majority Latino Commissioners’ votes to fire the first Black City of Miami Manager — Howard Gary.

Chief Acevedo did go on Social Media to apologized for his statement, “It’s like the Cuban mafia runs Miami PD.” If the Feds takes a thorough analysis into the City of Miami Commissioners that could be worrisome for them because most of those guys are extremely corrupted.

Google Is Making It Easier to Find Eco-Friendly Hotels With This New Search Feature.

As people become more aware of the importance of preserving the planet, travelers are increasingly looking for eco-friendly hotels, tour operators, and modes of transportation.
These green-conscious travelers, in their quest to see the world while still protecting it, Google search results will now include information on a hotel’s sustainability efforts.

Travelers using Google to search for accommodations will now see an “eco-certified badge” next to hotels that the company has verified to reduce their carbon footprint. According to Google, the company will employ independent organizations like Green Key or Earth Check to certify these hotels.

The new eco-certified badge will also include an “About” tab for travelers who want to learn more about the specific sustainability measures a hotel takes, like reducing waste or eliminating plastic.
“We want to make it easier for you to find sustainable options while traveling — no matter what you’re doing or where you’re going,” Google said in its announcement of the additional feature.

Eco-friendly hotels are the wave of the future

Google is working with hotels worldwide, including independent hotels and chains such as Hilton and Accor, to gather information and make it easily accessible. Hotels that earn their eco-friendly certification will also be allowed to add information about their sustainability practices to their business profiles.

Google also recently became a member of Travalyst Coalition, a group of global companies committed to sustainable travel. The company joins other big names in the industry like Booking.com, Skyscanner, Trip.com Group, TripAdvisor, and Visa.

The Travalyst Coalition strives to leverage its collective reach and help drive mass adoption of sustainability standards. “We are excited to continue this endeavor with Google as a member of the Travalyst Coalition, delivering on this unique opportunity to build positive, transformative change in travel,” said Sally Davey, CEO of Travalyst, in a press release.

According to Google, these efforts are part of the company’s commitment over the next decade to “invest in technologies that help our partners and people around the world make sustainable choices.”

He takes you for granted because he thinks you have no place else to go or you won’t leave him. A man with nothing to lose has nothing to lose. It’s time to leave the Democratic Party until it get itself together. The progress of African Americans under President Obama was no better than the progress made under President Trump. There are Independent candidates that would welcome new voters to its platform.

According to the Pew Research Center (“a nonpartisan “fact” tank that informs the public about the issues, attitudes, and trends shaping the world”), Migrant encounters at the U.S.-Mexico border are at a 21-year high since Joe Biden took control of America’s security. From January 2021 to September, over 2.2 million people from Latin America illegally crossed the U.S.-Mexico border, and twenty percent (20%) of those have tested positive for the SARS COVID-19 disease.

So, while the President has allowed the importation of over 400,000 SARS COVID Carriers across the borders into America, he has threatened to disrupt the lives of over 80 million hard-working tax-paying Americans who are at odds for varied reasons. For not taking “the jab.” Biden says to take the “jab” or lose your job and money to feed, clothe and shelter yourself and your family. Yet Biden has no problem bringing tens of thousands of mask-less untested Taliban on free plane rides into America, sponsored by the same taxpayer whose lives he threatens to upend.

The U.S.-Mexico border was wide open to illegals until some thousand people showed up from Africa and Haiti. Suddenly the border is closed. And the same airplanes that Biden hired to fly Taliban into the country, he has now rehired those airplanes to fly Haitians from Chile and Brazil back to Haiti quickly. How come Black Americans have no say on whether their kith and kin can come to America?

About 12,000 Haitians showed up at the border, and the big guns came out. Biden has dispatched an additional 400 Border “slave” Patrol agents to whip Black migrants. These idiots with hate-filled eyes use the old Jim Crow and slave-hunting tactics on Black people in the 21st Century.

Border Patrol Chief Raul Ortiz, who looks like he just barely made it across the U.S.- Mexican border a few years ago, giving orders to flog/whip the descendants of the enslaved. I guess there are good people on both sides of the political aisles. According to Raul Ortiz, “No Haitian will get TPS (Temporary Protective Status) in America. They all will be sent back.”

Suddenly, the U.S.-Mexico border has become more militarized than the Hamid Karzai International Airport in Afghanistan, where 13 Service members lost their lives to the Taliban, the same people with whom Sleepy Joe flooded the country. Biden now has drones, helicopters, state troopers, National Guardsmen to block a few thousand Haitians coming from Chile and Brazil from coming to America.

Chile Plans to Reopen Its Borders for Vaccinated Visitors.

Last week, the Chilean government proclaimed that the country would reopen its borders to vaccinated visitors, starting October 1. The new regulation is part of a four-step reopening plan requiring fully inoculated travelers to self-quarantine for five days.

Starting next month, travelers headed to Chile will need official proof of their vaccination status to get a Mobility Pass from the Chilean Ministry of Health. With the pass on their cell phones, travelers will have the digital proof of vaccination they need to enter certain establishments.

All visitors must also provide results of a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken within 72 hours of their departure. Within 48 hours of their departure for Chile, travelers must also complete an online Traveler’s Sworn Statement and show travel insurance documentation that includes coverage for COVID-19-related medical expenses. 

“Chile is ready to welcome travelers from around the world beginning on October 1 after over a year and a half with closed borders and restrictions. The modification of the country’s Protected Borders Plan will allow entry to all fully vaccinated non-resident foreigners who meet the requirements,” the tourism board said in a press release. “Visitors will enter through dedicated airports in Santiago, Iquique, or Antofagasta.”

Beyond pre-testing, vaccination proof, and a five-day quarantine at home or a hotel, travelers to Chile may also be subject to random PCR or antigen testing. They must fill out a daily health form via email during the first 14 days of their visit.

Chile’s move to reopen its borders comes after achieving one of the highest vaccination rates in the world. According to data from the Chilean Ministry of Health, 87% of the population is fully vaccinated as of this week. Despite the success of the vaccine rollout, as COVID-19 variants continue to emerge globally, the country is still mandating several safety measures such as social distancing and the usage of face masks in public areas.

California Governor Gavin Newsom Given A Second Chance By California Voters to Get It Right or Eff It Up.

Gov. Newsom, More Hair Than Brain.

The Hollywood-produced Governor of California Gavin Newsom has a second chance to, at least, finish out his first term as Governor with a modicum of success or continue to prove his incompetence. But his hopes of going to Washington as President of the United States are now dissolved — unless he can pull a Bill Clinton and become known as a comeback kid.

Tonight Newsom beat back a slew of challengers in a recall election, led by Republican talk show host Larry Elder, a right-wing loon that some political pundits declare to be right of ex-President Donald J. Trump. According to over two million Californians who signed petitions to remove him from office, Gov Newsom proved himself as more fluff than substance, a Hollywood caricature, and a medical tyrant.

At, 11:53 p.m. central time (8:53 p.m. California time) with just over 61 percent of the votes counted Newsom stepped up to the microphone to give his victory speech. So far Newsom raked in 65 percent of (5,397,221) the votes to Elder’s 35 percent (2,665,369) of the votes. These numbers are subject to change as the count continues.

At, least 33 percent of Californians are fed up with Gavin Newsom’s style of governing.

“What the people of Californians are saying, in no this recall is yes to science, yes to ending the pandemic, yest to vaccines, and yes to the people’s right to vote without fear fraud or voter suppression. The voters have said yes to women’s constitutional and fundamental to say what she does with her body. They have said yes to inclusion, diversity and pluralism. Newsom said, “One thing that is universal is everybody wants to be respected. I just want to say this tonight, I’m humbled, grateful but resolved, thank you to 40 million Americans and thank you to 40 million Californians.

After his speech, the Governor did not take questions from reporters. But in two years from now Californians will have a second chance to let their voices heard at the polls.
