Now, Rep Crockett faces a challenger of substance. Sholden Daniels launched a thorough investigation into Crockett’s campaign, alleging that it used money ($16,000) from the bank account of a retired couple in Texas. Daniels personally visited the couple’s house to inquire about the contribution made in their names.
Daniels directly questioned the couple about the contribution made in their names. The wife’s denial of any knowledge of the charges on their bank account raises serious questions about the transparency of Crockett’s campaign finances.
