On Monday, Interim U.S. Attorney Alina Habba announced that U.S. Rep. LaMonica McIver had been charged with belly-slamming Ice Agents.
While it’s true that Rep. McIver has a full belly, the video evidence is inconclusive. It’s unclear if she indeed belly-slammed any ICE agents, some of whom are also quite rotund.
This uncertainty calls for a thorough investigation, not a humorous image of a belly-flopping contest among land whales.
The charges against Rep. McIver stem from a May 09 brawl at an ICE detention facility (Delany Hall) in Newark, New Jersey. Rep. McIver and other members of Congress had made a surprise visit to the detention center, a move allowed by federal law.
“The Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2020 (Public Law 116-93), specifically Section 532, outlines the requirements for ICE to accommodate members of Congress seeking to visit detention facilities for oversight. This law ensures that ICE complies with requests from Congress members for tours and visits to ICE facilities.”
On the same day, ICE agents arrested Ras Baraka, the mayor of Newark, New Jersey. While the law does not require the Jersey mayor to announce access to Delaney Hall, Rep. McIver said he was at her invitation.
Mayor Ras Baraka plans to run for Governor of New Jersey in 2026. Now, that’s a great publicity stunt. Habba is alleging that while at the 1,000-bed migrant detention center, Rep. McIver entered with and impeded law enforcement action.
‘Due Process’ For Illegal Immigrants But Not For Black America.
Mayor Ras Baraka claims he and the other U.S. Reps were there to advocate for “Due Process.” On December 09, 2024, twelve wild beast correctional “officers” beat 43-year-old inmate Robert Brooks to death. Ras Baraka and Rep McIver were not concerned with Due Process then.
The guards transferred from Mohawk Correctional Facility to Marcy Correctional Facility, both in New York state, when they made a conscious decision to beat him to death savagely. Most of Donald Trump’s supporters have celebrated the savage beating of Robert Brooks and many Democrats.
None of those illegals voted for Ras Baraka and Rep. McIver. However, Black Americans voted for them to represent their interests. They have failed to do so.
