During his first State of the Union address, in his 2nd Term, President Trump informed the nation that “The State of the Union is strong.”
“Our nation is back, bigger, better, richer, and stronger than ever before.”
Tonight, after just one year, I can say with dignity and pride that we have achieved a transformation like no one has seen before — a turnaround for the ages. Today, our border is secure. Our spirit is restored. Inflation is plummeting. Incomes are rising fast, like the Roaring Twenties.
Our enemies are scared.
Since 1975, the American people have not experienced a real salary increase. Instead, employers have been providing cost-of-living adjustments (COLAs) to workers. So, again, for all presidents over the past 50 years — it’s not just under President Trump that the American people haven’t received a real pay increase.
Bubbling up on the President’s mind, which he made known to the public, was the economy. Trump recognizes that “pocketbook” issues are a major focus for both Democrats and Republicans alike.
During his run for his second non-consecutive Term, Trump placed the economy and immigration at the top of voters’ minds.
The prices of food and other goods have gone up, but they’re not out of reach for most working people.
Price increases for goods and services are a natural aspect of life.
That is one reason why employees get cost-of-living adjustments (COLAs) each year.
However, the media has made it such a blood-curdling talking point that now it’s become an albatross around Trump’s neck.
President Trump has to take responsibility for the Albatros because for almost two years he sang the economy song. At least sixty Democratic Congress members skipped the President’s State of the Union Address to revel in donkeyism.
The Democrats’ Rebuttal to Trump’s State of the Union Address was to play a kiddie game. They stick their thumbs in their ears, wiggle their behinds, and sing Na, Na, Na, Na, Naaa.
Upcoming Elections:
The Democrats are hoping that the state of the U.S. economy will provide them a stepping stone to become the House Majority in 2026. The majority of Americans’ perception of the economy does not bode well for the President, according to polls. Whether a screwed-up economy is real or not — their perception is their reality.
“Think globally, act locally.”
It is crucial to be forward-thinking but not a forward person. “Be kind to everyone you meet because each carries his heavy burden…” Plato.
