Not since the god “YahWeh” destroyed the whole civilization of Sodom and Gomorrah has any nation been removed from the world’s map.
President Trump has threatened biblical proportions of destruction on Iran if it doesn’t make a deal by 8:00 p.m. Tuesday to open the Strait of Hormuz.
A “whole civilization will die tonight,” Trump told the world on his social media platform, “Truth Social.”
Publicly, the Iranians haven’t blinked at Trump’s warning of destruction.
In fact, the Iranians have sent young men and girls to stand next to railroads, bridges, and other civilian buildings to martyr themselves.
The Israelis have shown that they are ready to martyr Iranians silly enough to stand near those civilian structures. The slaughter of those civilian boys and girls, perhaps, would raise objections in some quarters. Most world leaders are reluctant to raise fears of a dangerous escalation in conflict. President Trump is doing what most world leaders desire to do themselves.
Three hours from now, the world will either breathe a sigh of relief or look on in bewilderment.

This morning, the U.S. military began its second bombing campaign of the port Island of Kharg in Iran.
The world and its leaders await the 8:00 p.m. deadline imposed by President Trump for Iran to do obeisance before him or have the military start blasting away.
Monday night, Trump said, “The entire country (Iran) can be taken out in one night, and that night might be tomorrow night.”
According to Trump, if Iran doesn’t forswear nuclear weapons and reopen one of the world’s most critical oil transit waterways — it’s on.
President Trump did leave room for the possibility of Iran getting out of the noose before 8:00 p.m. Tuesday.
“Maybe something revolutionarily wonderful can happen, WHO KNOWS?, Trump said.
Before the night is over, President Trump will announce that Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif called and begged on behalf of Iran for an extension to the deadline.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif did ask Trump for a two-week extension, or at least he was made to say those words.
Three hours from now, the world will exhale.
