On Saturday, July 18, U.S. Marshals arrested social media influencers Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan in Miami.
According to a statement from the U.S. Department of Justice, the Tates were arrested “in accordance with the treaties and law-enforcement agreements governing Justice Department extraditions.”
UK authorities requested the arrest of Andrew Tate and his brother after filing new charges against them.
British prosecutors brought new charges of rape and sex trafficking against them, according to U.S. and UK authorities.
British prosecutors said the charges are in connection with sexual offenses involving four people that allegedly took place between July 2010 and August 2017.

On the social media circuit, Andrew Tate has become known as ‘King of Toxic Masculinity.’

According to the CPS, “Andrew Tate, 39, was hit with seven further counts of rape, three counts of arranging or facilitating trafficking for sexual exploitation, three counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and 19 additional charges for offenses relating to indecent images of a child and extreme pornography.”

Joseph McBride, the last attorney listed on record as the Tates’ attorney, has not commented on their latest arrest.

Tristan Tate, 38, was charged with “one count of sexual assault, two counts of rape and three counts of arranging or facilitating trafficking for sexual exploitation.”

On February 27, 2025, Andrew and Tristan arrived in Florida from Romania after the Romanian government removed their travel restrictions.

Attorney Joseph McBride has not commented on the latest arrest as this ongoing case unfolds in U.S. and UK authorities’ actions.
