Talk show host Wendy Williams known for dishing up the dirt on celebrities and has fallen into her own ditch. Reportedly, 57-year-old Wendy Williams has a net worth of $40,000,000 (forty million dollars). Wells Fargo has frozen Williams’ bank accounts, thus preventing her from paying her mortgage, other bills, and staffers.
A business or a person’s net worth is equal to all that they “own” minus their liabilities, or the amount they would have left if they paid off all of their debts.

Suddenly, the bank froze her account and denied her access to her funds. Such a move could give the bank time to conduct a forensic audit, clean up its tracks and refund Wendy’s accounts.

TMZ is reporting that in a February 4, letter Wells Fargo advised the court that it has “several million dollars” of Williams’ funds that they had frozen after Williams’ former financial advisor Lori Schiller claimed the star “was of unsound mind.” Lori Schiller’s claims of the talk show host being of an unsound mind came after Wendy fired her as her financial advisor.
After Wells Fargo froze Ms. Williams’ account, she went to court and, through her attorney, asked a judge to unfreeze her accounts so she could gain access to her money. According to People Magazine, Williams says in her filings that she fired Schiller as “her financial advisor because of Schiller’s malfeasance concerning [Williams’s accounts and Schiller’s improper conduct concerning their professional relationship.” She says Wells Fargo wrongfully “continues to rely on Schiller’s advisement as support for its decision to deny [Williams] access to her financial assets and statements.”
While they know Wells Fargo Bank for defrauding millions of its customers by opening millions of checking and savings accounts in their names. The federal government has fined the bank hundreds of millions of dollars, and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, made it pay over $2.7 billion in civil and criminal settlements in late 2018. Is it still possible that Wendy is being exploited by hangers’ on — her entourage, in this case, and not by Wells Fargo? Yes. Clearly there is something strange going on with Ms. Williams.
