The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has updated its list of prohibited items. They have lifted some restrictions. Such as the shoes off rule, per DHS Secretary Kristi Noem, it’s crucial to stay informed about the recent additions. This will help you avoid delays and ensure a smooth travel experience.

It’s crucial to be aware of the items that are not allowed on commercial airlines. Checking the list of prohibited items before you pack can help you avoid any issues during your travel.

Remember, the goal of these regulations is to keep the skies safe. So, before you fly, ensure that your personal items comply with the TSA’s rules to avoid any confiscations or delays.

Here is the new list of hazardous materials.

Here are the new items TSA will confiscate if spotted in your checked bag.

> Cordless air tools.

If you don’t want to be left swirling around in hot air, then don’t pack your cordless air tool. Leave your cordless air tool at home. Bring the hot blower with you, and you will be grounded.

The Federal Aviation Administration (the FAA) advised via TheStreet, says “any curling irons or flat irons powered by gas cartridges or butane — including gas refills (spare cartridges) for them — are banned in checked bags.” TSA will allow your cordless air tools in your carry-on if they have ‘safety covers to prevent accidental activation.’

The TSA still allows corded hair tools in either checked or carry-on bags.

> Cordless curling irons

The cordless curling irons have joined the hit list.

> Cordless flat irons

Cordless flat irons (hair straighteners) and their spare gas refill cartridges have also been banned.

And remember those banned items, such as e-cigs and vape pens, lithium phone chargers, spray paint, and sparklers, remain on the list of prohibited items.
