Parking spot dispute led to a tragic shooting that resulted in three deaths in Minnesota,
It’s happened again: a dispute over a parking spot left three people shot to death.
According to St Paul police, on Monday at about 4:10 p,m., 30-year-old Tsegaab Binessu allegedly shot three people to death.
All three victims, who worked in the leasing office of the St. Paul apartment complex, are now mourned by their families and colleagues.
“The Saint Paul Police Department identified the victims as 25-year-old Nansi Fuentes Zambrano, 56-year-old Dena Silcox and 43-year-old Adam Wilwerding.”
Binessu is accused of shooting two of the employees six times each as the crime was captured on surveillance cameras.
The third employee was allegedly shot out of frame, but screams and four gunshots could allegedly be heard in the footage. As colleagues mourn, the community wonders what could cause someone to kill three people over a parking space suddenly.
Was there an ongoing dispute that festered and then escalated into gunfire?
Binessu’s roommate said that after the shooting, Binessu called him and confessed to shooting the leasing office employees.
He said the shooting was over a parking space contract that Binessu wanted to get out of.
“According to charges filed in Ramsey County, officers were called to the Davern Park Apartments on the 1500 block of St. Paul Avenue shortly after 4 p.m. after several people reported gunshots and screams. One caller said two people appeared to be critically wounded inside the apartment leasing office.”
“In an interview with police, Binessu said he had recently sold his car because he was planning to join the military, according to police.
He said he tried to get out of his garage parking contract, but the leasing office told him it can’t be changed.

Binessu admitted to then going to the leasing office, “but did not explain what happened there,” the complaint said.
Police arrested Binessu in Virginia about two hundred miles from the crime scene.
Binessu was driving the car of one of the leasing agents.
“I feel very sad last night. I didn’t sleep the whole time. I was shocked. I feel sad because I think about this: every family is our family,” one neighbor said.
“Roxane Habeck, who has lived in the apartment complex for 36 years, said the three who were killed would always make time to chat.”
In 2019, Binessu immigrated from Ethiopia to the United States.
Other Escalated Parking Spot Shootings.
On June 30, 2026, a 62-year-old man, Bart Diguglielmo, was fatally shot at the Walmart located at 7900 W. McNab Road in North Lauderdale following a dispute over a parking space, as reported by Media Corp USA and NBC 6 South Florida.
On December 25, 2025, A 36-year-old woman, Octavia Stewart.was shot and killed on Christmas night after an argument between neighbors turned violent in Lauderhill, authorities said.
Officers were called at around 10:25 p.m. to Sunny Lake Apartments in the 2200 block of Northwest 56th Avenue on Thursday.
Police said that a “preliminary investigation indicates the incident began as a verbal argument between neighbors.”
Shaken neighbors said people in two apartments had been arguing throughout the day after holiday celebrations spilled outside.
They said the arguments centered on parking spots, but around 10:30 p.m. Christmas night, things escalated.
