Music Lost.

The Grammy Awards Ceremonies tonight were not as raucous as previous shows. The Music Awards show quickly became a rest haven and talentless feast of auto-tune performers tricking the audience into thinking they are vocalists. In recent years, a swarm of mediocre rap artists and Black men dressed in women’s clothing took the show over, sashaying down the runway for a reward, and a slap on the ass — not the face — ended with no unplanned extra-drama.

The night’s Grammy big winners include Best R&B Album winner Jazmine Sullivan for “Heaux Tales.” Newcomer nineteen-year-old Olivia Rodrigo snagged Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Album (Sour) and Best New Artist. Chris Stapleton won in the category of Best Country Album.

South Korean boy band the Bangtan Boys, aka BTS, gave a brilliant, technologically savvy computer-enhanced performance. The musical duo Silk Sonic features Bruno Mars and rapper/singer Anderson. Paak. take home the Song of The Year award.

The show was held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and hosted by Trevor Noah of The Daily Show. They paid a special tribute to the Foo Fighters’ 50-year-old drummer Taylor Hawkins. Hawkins died in Bogota, Colombia, on 17th February 2022. In honor of Taylor, the member of the Foo Fighters did not attend the Grammy award ceremonies. However, they won three awards.

Lady Gaga did a masterful performance of the 1930s song “Love for Sale” as a tribute to her friend, 95-year-old crooner Tony Bennett. Bennett retired last year from doing live performances. Multi-talented Brandi Carlile and John Legend also performed live.
