Two of the Border Patrol agents who pumped ten bullets into ICU nurse Alex Pretti have been placed on administrative leave. This step aims to promote transparency and accountability, coming just four days after they shot and killed Pretti while he was on his knees and hands.
The 37-year-old Pretti, who worked at a Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) hospital, has a brief history of provoking federal agents while they’re carrying out their duties. Pretti, like many Americans, disagreed with the tactics used by ICE to arrest illegal migrants.
