Oil Makes the World Go ‘Round: Choking the Strait of Hormuz.

Oil makes things move. It has become the blood in the veins of nations, underscoring its vital role in maintaining global stability.

Choking off the Strait of Hormuz is akin to having a blockage in one of the primary arteries in the human body.
Such a blockage calls for emergency surgery and an operation to clear the vein so blood can flow freely through it again.

That operation requires the most skilled doctors. President Trump thinks that Britain and France are the surgeons needed to operate.
The problem with the skilled doctors?

They are afraid. The doctors are petrified of performing the surgery.

They believe the delicate operation could go south, leading their insurance company (voters) to drop them and kick them out of office.

Nobody wants to lose their job, so President Trump is afraid to act.

President Trump is hesitant to resort to military action, which could escalate the conflict into a wider-scale war.

President Trump also knows there are other ways to save the patient.

There are other ways of saving the patient, such as using diplomacy, a proper diet, and/or exercise.

Exercise! Who wants to go outside to walk when they can sit back and play Xbox games all day in mommy’s basement?

One issue is that when it came time to communicate with the Iranians, the Trump administration turned its back on diplomacy twice.

Now the paranoia of the Iranians has made them petrified to sit down and talk with the Trump team.
Since the late 1850s, when men discovered that kerosene could light the night, a rush to control it ensued.

Just as the California Gold Rush (January 24, 1848-1855) was dying, in came the Pennsylvania rush for Black Gold: oil.

And black Gold has been the grease that makes the world go ’round, ever since.

The American military is by far superior to Iran’s. Before the start of the February 28 war with Iran, the Iranians, at first, played possum.
They also know that playing possum can be advantageous, but sometimes a possum gets run over by a pickup truck.
That is never a good sight.
The Iranians know that they cannot sustain a long-term battle with America and win. They have opted to win the war, not the battle.

The Iranians figured that by choking off a main artery (the Strait of Hormuz) in the world’s engine, it could give the world’s economy a stroke.

While the United States produces enough oil to sustain itself, the U.S. economy still feels the pinch alongside the rest of the world due to the narrowing of the Strait of Hormuz.
In 1983, when oil became a major traded commodity, America solidified, with everyone else on the street depending on that engine.
Big American oil companies got super wealthy, soaking up profits from oil wells.
People who once dwelt in tents became super-wealthy.

Suddenly, deserts in the Middle East became living oases. Men who drove camels became wealthy beyond belief.
Today, they drive Bentleys, Mercedes-Benzes, and Rolls-Royces.

They began looking down their noses at the not-so-fortunate.
And some of them commit murder at will, over minor disagreements about texts.
In the twinkling of an eye, the world could change.
