President Trump paused air strikes on Iran after 10 days of a blitzkrieg on the nation of 93 million people and his warning that ‘Iran would get hit hard.’

The military pause comes after Iran agreed to stand down for now, and the President received information on what some experts say are dwindling US air defenses, highlighting current vulnerabilities and encouraging awareness of ongoing challenges.

The Iranians have surprised the US by striking US bases in American Proxies such as Jordan and other regional host countries, underscoring the unpredictable nature of the conflict and regional instability.

Initially, the Trump Administration officials signaled that the military air campaign would last for at least two weeks.

“The U.S. military had been poised Friday to launch an intensive series of strikes against Iran, which could have lasted up to two weeks, the officials said.”

Both Iran and the US appear eager to return to the negotiating table. Still, it remains unclear whether recent diplomatic efforts have progressed or stalled, as efforts to revive diplomacy and reopen the Strait of Hormuz continue.

For the past two weeks, Iran’s increasingly precise missile and drone attacks have military analysts wondering if China or Russia has been supplying Iran with intelligence.

The recent strikes that evaded US air defenses and killed three American troops last week have the US Pentagon officials scratching their heads.

Because the Trump administration keeps asking for a cease fire, it makes America look like it’s asking to turn a 100-yard dash into a relay.

However, there isn’t anyone the Trump administration can pass the baton to.

It doesn’t appear that Iran is using Russian technology to evade the US air defenses.

The technology Iran is using is largely organic because Russia has used such missiles yet to evade American air defenses in Ukraine.

According to the Washington Post, “Those fears heightened last Wednesday, when another Iranian attack reportedly slipped through US defenses and slammed into a weapons depot near the same Jordanian air base.”

Where three American troops were killed days earlier, a source familiar with the attack exclusively told The Post.

The person also claimed foreign intelligence warned of a possible attack around 10:30 a.m., but alleged that US defenses failed to stop the incoming attack.

A US defense official declined to comment on the account, citing “operational security” reasons.

Iranian state media also reported Tehran continued attacks on US forces in Jordan on Wednesday, but did not include the mushroom cloud details.
