DHS Secretary Kristi Noem removes Commando-at-Large Gregg Bovino’s access to his work Facebook app. “What we got here is failure to communicate—some men you just can’t reach. DHS suspended Bovino’s access to his official social media accounts following his public, “unsubstantiated claims regarding the fatal shooting of ICU nurse Alex Pretti in Minneapolis.”
Bovino’s “unsubstantiated claims” were posted on Facebook and repeated by Kristi Noem and other DHS officials. Upon the release of several videos showing different angles of Alex Pretti’s shooting posted on Facebook, the public questioned the validity of DHS’s statement.
“Following the fatal shooting of Pretti by federal agents, Bovino claimed on social media that Pretti was armed and intended to commit a “massacre” on agents. Video evidence, which showed Pretti was holding his phone, did not support these claims.”
After the dust-up, President Trump sent Border Czar Tom Homan to Minneapolis to replace Bovino. The President said Tom Homan would report directly to him, bypassing DHS head Kristi Noem.
Minnesota reportedly set a record for FBI background checks for gun buyers, with over 85,000 checks, 40% higher than the same month last year.

In a January 27th CNN interview, Rep. Eric Swalwell made his demands clear to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
The hypersensitive Rep Swawell told CNN’s Kate Bolduan that he wants ICE out, Miller out, Noem out, and Homan out. Now that is a tall order to fill. When Bolduan asks if he wants to abolish ICE, Swalwell said, “ICE must be crushed.
